The Glasgow Clan return to Elite League action at the Braehead Arena this Saturday night with the visit of the Manchester Storm.

Our Match Night Live Reporter, David Marshall (@marshalldave38), takes a look at some of the key men for the Storm.

#1 Mike Hammond – F

The highest point scorer in the Storm, and joint highest in the league with Ben Lake, Hammond is playing his second season in Manchester and is continuing his fine form from his first season. The 28-year-old Englishman finished the 2017/18 season with 83 points, 32 goals and 51 assists, which was the highest in the league.

Hammond was one of several Clan players that Ryan Finnerty took to the Storm with him when he headed south of the border in 2017. During the 2016/17 season, Hammond scored 25 goals in the league as he helped the Clan to the Gardiner Conference title.

#2 Luke Moffat – F

Another dangerous goal threat for the Storm. The 26-year-old Canadian was the top scorer in the league last season with 34 goals.

Moffat was a seventh-round pick for the Colorado Avalanche during the 2010 NHL draft. Since then his career has seen him play all over Europe and even a short spell in Australia.

He goes into the weekend’s games on 45 points, with 11 goals and 34 assists.

#3 Felix-Antoine Poulin – D

Yet another former Clan player now wearing the colours of the Storm. Poulin spent the second half of the 2017/18 season at the Clan and his style of play quickly made him a favourite of the Purple Army.

A two-way defenseman who was the Elite League’s top goal-scoring defender in 2016/17 while a part of the Dundee Stars.

The 28-year-old Canadian scored two goals against the Clan in December in what was a 4-2 win and a 5-3 loss respectively for the Storm.
