The Glasgow Clan are delighted to confirm our Summer Series schedule ahead of the 2019/20 season.
We welcome EHC Freiburg on Saturday 24th August (7:00pm face-off) and Sunday 25th August (4:00pm face-off) with both teams competing for the intu Cup.
– Saturday 24th August: Glasgow Clan v EHC Freiburg (intu Cup 1st leg)
– Sunday 25th August: Glasgow Clan v EHC Freiburg (intu Cup 2nd leg)
EHC Freiburg currently play in the DEL2 and are entering their fifth straight season playing in the second tier of German ice hockey.
Freiburg make their second visit to Scotland in only twelve months, having been pre-season opposition for the Dundee Stars in August 2018.
Clan Chief Operating Officer Gareth Chalmers commented: “We’re delighted to be welcoming EHC Freiburg to Glasgow.
“The two games will provide the Purple Army the exciting prospect of watching another new team in Braehead Arena ahead of the 2019/20 EIHL season.
“The Freiburg games will have an added edge with former Clan head coach Pete Russell making his first return to Braehead Arena since departing the club.”
