The Glasgow Clan are delighted to announce that we have teamed up with Pancreatic Cancer Scotland as the club’s second official nominated charity during the 2019/20 season.

Pancreatic Cancer Scotland was formed in 2010 by a group of patients, carers, nurses and doctors in Scotland to share hope, knowledge and action in the battle against pancreatic cancer.

As part of the partnership, the Clan’s home game on Sunday 29th March against the Nottingham Panthers, will be our designated Pancreatic Cancer Night which will see the Clan wear limited edition jerseys that will be available following the game for auction, in support of the charity.

Clan Chief Operating Officer Gareth Chalmers commented: “During the summer we very sadly lost Andy Bonar to pancreatic cancer, who was a very much loved and popular member of the Purple Army.

“With this in mind, and the fact that Andy’s partner Tracy is a member of the Clan family, selecting Pancreatic Cancer Scotland as one of our charity partners during the 2019/20 season was a very easy decision.”

Head of Fundraising & Supporter Relations at Pancreatic Cancer Scotland, Murray Easton commented: “Pancreatic Cancer Scotland are delighted and excited to be partnering with the Glasgow Clan.

“Together we share a passion and determination to raise awareness and funds that will enhance support, healthcare, awareness, research and education for pancreatic cancer. We really look forward to working with the Purple Army.”
