Coventry Blaze qualified for the Elite League play-off semi-finals after knocking out league champions Sheffield Steelers.

Blaze won 5-3 on home ice and they followed up with a 3-3 draw at Sheffield to secure an 8-6 aggregate success.

Cardiff Devils looked to be on their way out after losing 4-2 at home to Dundee Stars, but they bounced in style in the reverse fixture to record a 4-1 victory and complete a 6-5 win overall.

Fife Flyers are through to the Final Four weekend after two hard fought games against Braehead Clan.

Two late goals by Ryan Dingle and Kyle Haines secured a 2-1 home success and Flyers broke Clan’s hearts in the return game, with TJ Caig’s second of the night securing a 2-2 draw for a 4-3 aggregate victory.

Nottingham Panthers progressed courtesy of a 7-4 overall success against Belfast Giants.

Stephen Schultz grabbed the winner as Panthers won 4-3 on home ice and Corey Neilson’s team secured their place in the last four with a 3-1 victory at Belfast.

Blaze now face the Devils in the semi-finals as they look to defend their play-off crown, while the Flyers meet the Panthers.
