Glasgow Clan head coach Pete Russell believes his team can build on their 3-2 win in Dundee on Sunday night, with another win when the Stars visit Glasgow on Tuesday.

A brace from Brendan Connolly plus Scott Pitt’s winning penalty shot, saw the Clan continue their impressive road form in the EIHL with four wins out of eight games.

The Clan head into Tuesday’s final Challenge Cup group against Dundee knowing that a regulation time win will see them progress into the knock-out stages.

“It was important we picked up the win and two points on Sunday, to set up our focus ahead of Tuesday’s big game at Braehead” confirmed Russell.

“Dundee are obviously already through, so we have to win on Tuesday to ensure we progress through to the next stage and see where things take us from there.

“The Belfast game on Saturday was somewhat of a heartbreaker, so the whole club is determined to come away with the win against the Stars.

“There will be two good teams going at it, but we’ll have a major advantage with the Purple Army right behind us – I am really looking forward to the game.”

Get behind Pete and the boys THIS TUESDAY (7:30pm face-off). Tickets are available NOW via TICKETMASTER or by calling 0844 499 1700.
