Clan are only 3 points behind the Nottingham Panthers with 5 games in hand and two matches this weekend – Manchester at home on Saturday and Dundee Stars away on Sunday.

Nottingham themselves have a difficult weekend, away on Saturday to the Sheffield Steelers and then at home on Sunday to the Belfast Giants.

Fife Flyers, who Clan managed to leapfrog last weekend only have a single game this weekend as they face-off against the Manchester Storm on Sunday.

Clan’s last ten EIHL results:

Storm’s last ten EIHL results:

Both Clan and Storm have had similar recent success, with Clan having picked up 15 EIHL points in their last ten to Storm’s 16.

Offensively, a very similar performance between the two teams with Clan having netted 37 goals to Storms 38.

Defensively however it would appear Clan have the edge (with former Storm blueliner Matt Stanisz being a large part of that) with 23 goals conceded against Storms 27.

Head to head this season, the Manchester Storm have the slight advantage winning three ties to Clan’s two (albeit Storm have played this tie at home three times). It’s been a high scoring affair with 35 goals – 19 for Storm and 16 for Clan.
