The Glasgow Clan are delighted to announce the signing of Canadian defenceman Travis Ehrhardt for the 2018/19 season.

The 29-year-old joins the Clan having iced in recent season’s for Geneva Servette in the Swiss NLA and last season with KRS Heilongjiang in the VHL.

Clan head coach Pete Russell is delighted to capture the signature of such a high calibre defenceman which completes his roster for the 2018/19 season

“I am delighted to two way defenceman Travis Ehrhradt to complete our roster for the season ahead.” said the Great Britain head coach.

“Travis is a strong skater and good in all zones, and all situations. He has a good skill set to make a difference to our team from the back end.

“All I am hearing is good things about Travis on and off the ice. Adding Travis to our line-up makes our D core stronger and our team stronger.

“I really like the look of our back end and we have a bit of everything back there. You need that in this league. You have to be able to defend, have good transition and add to offence.

“For me it was a key area of our team building to get a D core with decent size, make sue of the puck and of course defend. I believe we have achieved this. I am really looking forward to the new season.”

Gratton becomes the twentieth player to join the Clan for 2018/19 following the signings of Zack Fitzgerald, Josh Gratton, Brendan Connolly, Scott Pitt, Matt Beca, Matt Stanisz, Michal Gutwald, Liam Heelis, Tyson Wilson, Gerard Hanson, Joel Rumpel, Scott Tanski, Rasmus Bjerrum, Jack Musil, Craig Peacock, Matt Haywood, Zach Sullivan, Mac Howlett and Gary Russell.
