The Glasgow Clan are delighted to announce the signing of Canadian forward Brendan Connolly for the 2018/19 season.
The 32-year-old signs from Elite Ice Hockey League rivals the Belfast Giants, where he scored 27 goals and assisted on 46 others during the 2017/18 season.
The Clan now have two of the top five points scorers from last season’s Elite League on their roster.
“I am delighted to add impact forward Brendon Connolly to our roster for the upcoming season.” confirmed Clan head coach Pete Russell.
“Brendan is a great talent and plays with his heart on his sleeve. He is skilled and aggressive in all areas and is simply one of the best offensive talents in the whole EIHL.
“He is what I call a ‘player X’ and every team needs this type of player in their line up as they make a difference. He plays with total emotion and I love that!
“With the addition of Connolly we now have three spots to fill on a roster which I think everyone is excited about.”
Connolly becomes the seventh player to join the Clan for 2018/19 following the signings of Zack Fitzgerald, Scott Pitt, Matt Beca, Matt Stanisz, Michal Gutwald, Liam Heelis, Gerard Hanson, Joel Rumpel, Scott Tanski, Rasmus Bjerrum, Jack Musil, Craig Peacock, Matt Haywood, Zach Sullivan, Mac Howlett and Gary Russell.
