SIGNING NEWS: Stupka joins ahead of Fife & Dundee weekend

The Glasgow Clan are delighted to announce the signing of Slovakian forward Vaclav Stupka on a one month tryout.
Stupka joins from MsHK Zilina, where he was a team-mate of Scott Pitt and former Clan defenceman Felix-Antoine Poulin for part of last season.
The 32-year-old comes to the EIHL having played the past fourteen years in his native Slovakia, predominately with Zilina and SHK 37 Piestany.
“We are delighted to add forward Vaclav Stupka to our roster” confirmed Clan head coach Pete Russell.
“Vaclav is an experienced player with great speed, good skill, competes hard and is a quality person. He will add to our offence and will bring us a totally different dynamic.
“He has played in the Extraliga for a long time and two years ago got called up to the Slovakian national team.
“It’s a tough time of the year to add quality to a roster and we feel very fortunate Vaclav has took the offer to join the Clan”.
Stupka will fly into the UK on Wednesday ahead of the weekend’s opening Challenge Cup road games against the Fife Flyers and Dundee Stars.
