STATEMENT: Immense sadness as Andy Bonar passes away

It is with immense sadness that we announce the passing of Andy Bonar, loving husband to Tracy and loving father to Cheryl.

Andy had endured a short battle with cancer, and was surrounded by family when he sadly passed at his Ayrshire home early this morning (Thursday, May 9).

A very popular member of the Purple Army, Andy was a long term Clan supporter, a former OSC Committee member and in recent years could be seen working tirelessly as a volunteer on a game night at Braehead Arena selling Chuck-a-Puck’s in the foyer.

At the GCA’s back in March, Andy was presented with the 2018/19 Glasgow Clan Off-Ice Unsung Hero Award.

We ask that everyone associated with the Clan remember Andy with love and affection and take pleasure when recalling the many wonderful times he and Tracy had following and supporting the Clan.

A true gentleman, who will be sadly missed by so many, but will never be forgotten.

Our thoughts are with Tracy, Cheryl, all of his family and friends at this very sad time.
